I was born and raised in the tri-county areas of Howard, Winneshiek, and Chickasaw of NE Iowa and have lived here my entire life. I love the hunting, fishing, and outdoor activities NE Iowa has to offer.
I started working for the City of Cresco in 1990 for the Street Department. With a construction background, it was an easy transition. I spent six years in this department.
In 1996, with the retirement of a fellow employee, I applied for an opening at the Waste Water Treatment Facility here in Cresco and was offered the job. The next 14 years were spent at the WWTP. I obtained and currently hold a Grade II Waste Water certification in the State of Iowa, and I'm currently working on a Grade III.
That brings us to 2010 when another employee, the Public Works Director for the City of Cresco, decided to retire. I am now the current full-time Public Works Director for the City of Cresco as of January 2011 in my 21st year of service.
