The City Council consists of the mayor, city clerk, and five council members. City Council meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month at 5:30 pm in the Council Chambers at Cresco City Hall, 130 North Park Place, Cresco Iowa. However, the January, July and September 2022 meetings will be held the 1st Wednesday and 3rd Monday of those months only.

Meeting agendas are posted on the City Hall door, on the public library's bulletin board, and on the City of Cresco website. Agendas may be changed up to 24 hours before the start of the meeting.

Special meetings may be called for and are held as needed with notice.

The City is pleased to be able to provide information to the public such as minutes from past meetings as well as the agenda and council packet to upcoming meetings. These meetings are televised on Wednesdays at 7 pm on Local Cable Channel 3 sponsored by Mediacom.
