Kerian reported on the Fitness Center: Memberships – 778; up 25 from last month and up 67 members from last year!
24/7 Updates & Hours: Officially opens 3/4/2024. Will tentatively have a Ribbon Cutting 4/26/24. Discussed discount options for employees only with 24/7 access. Board proposed staff purchase 24/7 Key Fob and monthly fee being free for eligible employees.
Board supports Kerian and Bohr’s suggestions on updating facility hours. Hours are only changing slightly based on intentional conversations with staff, data analysis, and financial responsibility with strategic plans for continued growth. New hours will go into effect 3/4/2024.
Current Gym Membership Program is expiring. Staff have been diligently researching various programs. Will need a whole new computer system. McConnell suggested connecting with the City as they are getting new computers.
Memberships: Kerian wants to clean up Dues Brochure – “less is more” with options and price quotes. Wants to mimic what Osage does with theirs. More to come!
Employees: O’Brien motioned to hire Talon McConnell as a Recreation Coach at $12.00 per hour. Denner seconded the motion and it passed all ayes.
Kerian reported on Parks/Recreation: Beadle Park Equipment: New playground equipment is in. Hired Aaron Wemark to remove old and install new equipment – roughly $12,000. Goal is to have it completed this spring.
Future Programs & Program Assistance: TJ Casper has worked hard to hopefully get a Traveling League for 10, 12 and 15U. Starting to think of spring, summer and fall activities.
The Isaac Wiltgen Legacy Foundation was founded by Isaac’s family. The goal is to help families in need. Family and Fitness Center staff will collaborate to determine how to better serve/meet the needs of requests.
O’Brien moved to adjourn at 5:44 pm. Hovden seconded and it passed all ayes. The next regular Cresco Park and Rec meeting is scheduled for March 13 at 5:00 pm at CFC.

Respectfully Submitted,

Holly O’Brien, Board Secretary
