Kerian reported on the Fitness Center: Memberships: 836
Locker Room Project: Kerian reported they will be starting a locker room/restroom restoration project that will start on January 20th. The project includes new epoxy flooring, partitions, paint, etc.. During the week of Jan 20th, both locker rooms will be unavailable for public use. CFC staff will notify patrons of this starting 1/9 and will advise all traffic to utilize the communal restrooms opposite of the locker rooms while work is being done. Starting the week of Jan 27th (pending project progression), the locker rooms will reopen with the communal restrooms being unavailable for that week.
Fitness Equipment: Kerian reported that new fitness equipment has been ordered for the specific purpose of fitness classes. This select equipment will not be for public use and will be stored away when not in use. Delivery should take place in the next few weeks. Kerian also reported that he is close to finalizing a different fitness equipment order for the main fitness room. This order will be a mix of replacing existing equipment, as well as receiving different equipment the CFC has never had. The order of this equipment will be funded from a portion of remaining 24/7 Access Campaign funds.

Kerian reported on Parks:
Ice Rink: Kerian reported the Ice Rink is filled and will be ready for public use soon. Kerian brought up concerns of how to operate the warming house during the skating season. After discussion, the Board agreed to explore having the warming house unmanned and see how things go. Recommendation was given to explore a smart lock on the warming house door to remotely lock and unlock the door. Kerian will investigate further.

Denner moved to adjourn at 5:23 pm. Myers seconded and it passed all ayes. The next regular Cresco Park and Rec meeting is scheduled for February 12, at 5:00 pm at CFC.

Respectfully Submitted,

Brandon Kerian, Park Director
