THIS NOTICE IS GIVEN PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 21, CODE OF IOWA AND THE LOCAL RULES OF SAID GOVERNMENTAL BODY. POSTED: November 19, 2024.
MINUTES
Present Herold called the Cresco Park and Recreation meeting to order on 11/20/2024, at 5:31 pm at the Cresco Fitness Center (CFC). Board Members Denner, Herold, Hovden, Myers and O’Brien were present.
Also Present: Brandon Kerian and Rich McConnell
O’Brien made the motion to approve the consent agenda which included the approval of the agenda; claims, and minutes of the October 9, 2024 meeting. Hovden seconded the motion and it passed all ayes.
Other Business: Discussed some questions/concerns from community members. Advised board to direct any and all community concerns to Kerian.

Kerian reported on the Fitness Center: Memberships – 812 – up!
Employees: Denner motioned to rehire Parker Rice and Emily Voyna and hire Erin Solomon and Felicia Pecinovsky as new Fitness Instructors. Myers seconded the motion and it passed all ayes.
Membership Rates: Myers motioned to approve the new Membership Rates proposal to go into effect 2/1/2025. Denner seconded the motion and it passed ayes.
New Building Update: Emergent Architect suggested determining the main target players/businesses and determining what their pledge amount would be. Then taking that total and subtracting that from the estimated amount needed to kick off the campaign with the community. Looking into starting a lead committee. Kerian will put feelers out and connect with Scott Thomson on potential members.
O’Brien moved to adjourn at 6:11 pm. Denner seconded and it passed all ayes. The next regular Cresco Park and Rec meeting is scheduled for December 11, at 5:00 pm at CFC.
