Kerian reported on the Fitness Center: Memberships – 702 up!

Denner motioned to hire TJ Casper as Park and Rec Manager at $20 per hour and eligible for a raise in January. Skye Meineke as Pool Manager at $20 per hour and eligible for a raise next fiscal year. O’Brien seconded the motion and it passed all ayes.
Pool Upgrades: Interior paint job almost completed.
Scott Thomson reached out wanting to know the biggest pool need: Pool Heater/Jets. He is willing to cover half the cost of the estimate of $75,000-80,000 if the city will cover the other half. Kerian will present to council on this needing to be completed sooner rather than later.
24/7 Update: Door locks installed. Security/Cameras will be installed the last week in October. Kerian met with a lighting company for the front desk. Equipment coming October 23 week. New netting and black matting should be getting installed within the week.
Building Updates: Kerian reached out to four different Architectural Firms to get renderings – waiting to hear back.
Kerian reported on Parks: Steve McCarville Field will be getting some upgrades. Lickteig’s has a field renovation project plan for 2023/2024: roll the field, fill in with dirt in low spots, seeding the field, spray weeds, winterizing fertilizer, spring fertilization and field maintenance. Only ask is for Park and Rec to help with irrigation assistance.
Denner moved to adjourn at 6:30 pm. Ernst seconded and it passed all ayes. The next regular Cresco Park and Rec meeting is scheduled for November 8 at 5:00 pm at CFC.
