MINUTES

Scene Shop Fundraising Meeting Minutes

The group met October 9th, 2023, from 6:30-7:30 at Champlin Hall.  Those in attendance were representatives of Cresco Community Theatre, Cresco Theatre Commission, Cresco Chamber, City Council, and included Wendy Lickteig, Jan Carman, Jeff Meinecke, Ann Seebach, Joe Wacha, David Gosch, Kelly Bartling, Jason Passmore, Jayne Jensen, Paul Jensen, Gerard O’Rourke, Lisa Kammerer, Kari Waterbeck, Spiff Slifka, Melissa Warren, and Julie Wilson.

The architect is working on an updated plan.  Clarification will be obtained on getting renderings and/or video of the most current plans.  The Scene Shop Committee will be attending the City Council Meeting on 10/16.

Spiff Slifka and Jayne Jensen shared a letter and PowerPoint with the group, soliciting other ideas and input from the group. Campaign Kickoff was discussed.  The use of social media, newspaper, radio, and Chamber newsletter was discussed for getting the Campaign started. The group discussed the idea of having a donor relations chairperson.  David Gosch volunteered to be the chairperson.   A list of businesses was shared with the group.  Members were asked to look it over and make changes as needed.

The group will meet again on Monday, November 13th, 2023, 6:30 PM at Champlin Hall.
