PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE ABOVE MENTIONED GOVERNMENTAL BODY WILL MEET AT THE DATE, TIME AND PLACE SET OUT ABOVE.

MINUTES

President Janis Rockabrand called the Cresco Public Library Board meeting to order on September 11, 2023, at 5:30 PM in the CPL Program Room.  Board Members Tamra Foster, Trish Johnson, Joe Kaletka, Pam Kranzler, Christine Lueschow, and Janis Rockabrand were present.  Board Member Kay Reis was absent.

Guest in attendance was Jordyn Moore (Library Director).

Kaletka made the motion to approve the agenda, approve the claims, approve the minutes from the August 14, 2023 Cresco Public Library Board meeting. Kranzler seconded and approval of recurring items passed with all ayes.

Foster moved to approve the use of funds from the trust to cover the remaining costs for the Cresco Public Library’s Fire Alarm System project to be completed in this fiscal year of 2023/2024 after the use of the $20,000 from the Cresco Public Library Foundation is used. Johnson seconded and the motion passed with all ayes.

Foster moved to approve the purchase of two door counters and for the cost to come from the Cresco Public Library’s trust. Kranzler seconded and the motion passed with all ayes.

Kaletka moved to approve the revision of the Hotspot Borrowing Agreement as presented. Kranzler seconded and the motion passed with all ayes.

Foster moved to approve the revision of the General Policy as presented. Kaletka seconded and motion passed with all ayes.

Kaletka moved to approve the revision of the New Patron Sign Up Policy as presented. Lueschow seconded and motion passed with all ayes.

Kranzler moved to approve the revision of the Volunteer Policy as presented. Kaletka seconded and motion passed with all ayes.

Foster moved to approve the revision of the Conduct Policy as presented. Johnson seconded and motion passed with all ayes.

Kaletka moved to approve the Cresco Public Library Board of Trustees to acquire the Google account of ‘crescolibraryboard@gmail.com’.  Kranzler seconded and motion passed with all ayes.

Johnson moved to approve the change in Cresco Public Library business hours as presented (listed below) to begin October 1, 2023. Foster seconded and the motion passed with all ayes.

Kaletka moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:25 PM.  Kranzler seconded and the motion passed with all ayes.  The next regular Cresco Public Library Board meeting will be Monday, October 16, 2023 at 5:30 PM in the CPL Program Room.
