New Business:

  1. Wayne Maas informed us that their flying cover crop should be completed in about 10 days.

Clair said he had not heard anything from Johnson’s flying operation yet.

Last talk with Anthony was that he would start on runway work when cover crop operations were finished.

  1. Clair mentioned an unusual concrete damage on the runway. No indication of impact by plane or machine….could it be a meteorite?
  2. Bryan’s 3 year contract renting the farmable ground expired. Jerry mentioned that he and David Brenno looked at arial photos & that roughly 69 acres are left in cropland & would be listed in the paper that way for public bid. Bryan said he’d like to continue renting the crop land.
  3. During open discussion Wayne Maas said they are looking toward getting electric power to their loading pad sight into their next years budget. He just installed some signage and two aircraft tie downs. There was mention of keeping the runway asphalt overlay project. Though we did not receive a grant award in the past, it was thought that we should keep trying and keep it in the 5 yr C.I.P & in next year’s budget. There was word that the piles of top soil would be soon spread back on the land with the hopes that it would be made farmable again.
