Pay: $25.76 After 90-day probation increase to $26.01

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Assist in the effective maintenance and operation of the street department, the storm water collection infrastructure, equipment and properties.

Job Description
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Perform various duties such as maintaining streets, chip sealing, tree trimming, yardwaste collection and chipping, street sign upkeep, maintaining storm sewer infrastructure. Maintain buildings, mow grass, pick up litter and yardwaste, load and unload trucks, lift and move materials, tools and supplies. Operate various types of vehicles including trucks, loaders, skidloaders, backhoes, and maintainers. Utilize computer software including GPS/GIS mapping of infrastructure and filing of reports. Duties shall be determined by the Street Superintendent according to demand or need. This position is subject to call out at any time.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 18 years of age or older. High school diploma or equivalent required, college education preferred but not necessary. Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with Tank & Airbrake required. Ability to follow written and oral instructions with attention to detail is essential. Mechanical knowledge and heavy equipment experience is necessary. Have the ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time in unfavorable weather conditions. Must have an ability to maintain a good working relationship with the general public. Random drug testing as required for CDL. Employee must reside within a 30-minute response.
