The City of Cresco, IA is excited to launch TextMyGov, a new, smart text messaging service! Residents can receive important notifications and text the city to find specific information.
Cresco will officially launch the new text messaging system to the public in November 2024. Residents may receive a text message from 91896 from the City initiating the service. You can choose to opt out at any time by texting STOP.
If you don’t receive the initial message, you can choose to opt-in by texting the keyword “CRESCO” to the number 91896. After sending the initial keyword, you will be asked to reply “YES” to confirm opt-in. Residents may receive notifications for events, water main breaks, meetings, severe weather etc. For event text alerts, text the following keyword to the number 91896:
- Cresco Event notifications: text “CRESCOEVENTS” to 91896
Cresco’s use of this technology is another example of how our community is enhancing resident services by implementing 21 st -century solutions.
